The timing can always seem off between two people who are meant for each other. Chen You Qing (Ariel Lin) and Li Da Ren (Chen Bolin) have been lifelong friends. Although Da Ren has always been in love with You Qing, the timing never seems to be right for Da Ren to confess his feelings because one of them is always in a relationship when the other isn’t. Approaching her 30th birthday, You Qing receives an email from Da Ren that jokes about the “symptoms of premature aging.” Angry about the widely held belief that men are like grapes that turn into a fine bottle of wine as they age while women are like grapes that shrivel up into raisins, You Qing makes a bet with Da Ren that she can get married first before they turn 35.

Will You Qing be able to find someone better than Da Ren? “In Time With You” is a 2011 Taiwanese drama series directed by Winnie Chu. The series won several awards at the 47th Golden Bell Awards, including Best Actress for Ariel Lin, Best Actor for Bolin Chen and Best Television Series. The Korean remake of this drama, titled “The Time I’ve Loved You, 7000 Days,” aired in 2015.

Honestly I just felt like being contrary without feeling the need to explain it at the time. I felt Ergo Proxy was clever (although pretentious) because it dealt with a whole mixture of psychological issues, identity and existence coupled with a dose of philosophy. It would be easy to argue Serial Experiments Lain was 'crap' in places (club scene is a common complaint here it seems). I guess I kind of agree with you but I'm not sure either show would have held the same strange impact if anything had been changed. As a side note the mindset I was in when I watched both meant I actually enjoyed the pretentiousness so I might be rose-tinting this a little.
